Intervention on water

Intervention on Water is an installation made of beeswax and designed to float on the lake at Schlosspark Herrnsheim, outside Worms. The project consists of multiples of two objects, a water lily and a keyboard. The work focuses on a visual dialogue that relate to the artificial, man made world of technology and nature. This visual challenge in a natural environment encompasses opposites seeking to juxtapose the traditional with the contemporary; the hand made and the organic with elements of manufacturing and multiples. Where they are placed side by side they challenge our preconceptions and attitudes to their differences and their similarities. The project presents the sightlines of nature and the sightlines of modernity.
