Peter Brindley photography
Although I am concerned to produce photographs with content and meaning, I am also anxious to ensure that such photographs are up to a high standard of technical quality and have visual photographic excellence. To this end, for all serious photography I now use either a medium format (120, 6x7) rangefinder camera (Mamiya 7) or a large format (5”x4”) field camera (Wista VX). All the images on this site were taken with one or other of those cameras.
To ensure that quality is carried through to the ultimate print and that I have complete control, I have my own darkroom, fully equipped for processing both colour and black and white, and printing up to 20”x16” - this being the normal size at which I exhibit.

Commissions. As a general rule, I am only interested in taking those photographs which I want to take for my own purposes. However, there are occasions when what I want is the same as the needs of a potential client, and I am always prepared to consider proposals - if not immediately obvious from the contents of this web site, proposals to photograph churches, and displays in shops or shop windows, could well be of interest.
